Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-28.1. Effective date: 28 October 2026.
1. Who provides the service
Finooi is the product name, not a claim that it is a registered company. Legal operator: [LEGAL OPERATOR NAME AND CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS TO BE CONFIRMED; COMPANY DETAILS IF APPLICABLE]. References to “we” and “our” mean that operator. This placeholder remains outstanding and must be completed before treating these policies as the final public legal notice.
Contact support@finooi.com for support, privacy requests, security concerns and complaints. Do not send passwords or active authentication links. noreply@finooi.com sends transactional messages and is not the support inbox.
These terms should be read with the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and Financial Disclaimer. Acknowledging the Privacy Policy is not consent to optional marketing.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The service is for adults aged 18 or over managing their own finances, or business information they are authorised to handle. Do not impersonate someone, share credentials or create an account on another person's behalf without authority.
Provide your first name, surname and an email address you control. Choose a password between 12 and 128 characters and agree to the displayed policies before creating your account. The database saves the agreed policy version and time against the new account. After you confirm your email, registration finishes automatically using that saved agreement, without asking you to agree again. The acceptance record contains your user identifier, policy version and original database agreement timestamp. Email confirmation alone is not agreement, and existing accounts are not given retrospective acceptance records.
Keep your login secure and sign out on shared devices. Sessions can persist between visits. Do not send passwords, confirmation links or recovery codes in support requests.
3. Purpose and current scope
Finooi helps organise manually entered financial information in Personal, Sole Trader and Limited Company contexts. Signed-in functionality includes saved accounts, balance observations, income and expense transactions, transfers, monthly budgets, financial summaries and forecasts derived from saved records. Getting Started uses the same persistent Add Account functionality as the workspace.
Each user has a private workspace; selecting a financial context organises that user's records. It does not grant access to another person's workspace or establish legal ownership of money. The separate demonstration uses sample data and does not save its edits as your private financial records.
Open Banking, live bank feeds, payment execution, subscription billing and an AI financial adviser are not connected. Some screens and controls remain demonstrations or planned features, including goals and report/PDF functionality. Their presence does not mean they are available for operational use.
4. Your information and responsibilities
Enter only information you are entitled to use. Check balances, dates, categories, transfers and calculations against original records. Distinguish your own money from company assets; company funds may not be available for personal spending.
Do not enter online-banking passwords, full card details or unnecessary personal information about others. Keep authoritative financial, business and tax records outside Finooi. It is not a substitute for required bookkeeping, filings, professional advice or document retention.
5. Financial information and decisions
Summaries and forecasts depend on your entries, dates and calculation assumptions. Forecasts extrapolate recorded history and may omit future commitments or changed circumstances. They do not establish tax obligations, borrowing eligibility, affordability or investment suitability. We do not guarantee savings, returns or financial outcomes. Read the Financial Disclaimer.
You remain responsible for financial decisions and should obtain appropriately qualified advice when needed. This does not remove responsibilities we have under applicable law.
6. Availability and changes
The service may change, contain errors or be unavailable. No uninterrupted-access, service-level or backup guarantee is offered. Maintenance, security incidents or legal requirements may require changes or restrictions.
We will explain material changes affecting access or retained information where reasonably possible. Urgent security or legal action may require shorter notice. Changes do not remove mandatory rights or permit unfair alteration of an agreed consumer service.
7. Intellectual property and your data
Subject to third-party rights, the operator or its licensors retain rights in the software, branding and original application content. You may use Finooi for its intended lawful purpose and as permitted by law.
You retain the rights you have in information you supply. We may host and process it as necessary to provide, protect and administer the service and as explained in the Privacy Policy. Supplying data does not authorise its sale or unrelated advertising use.
8. Responsibility and liability
We must meet obligations imposed by applicable law, including relevant standards of reasonable care and skill and mandatory consumer remedies. Nothing in these documents excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use required care. Using a financial planning tool does not itself make us responsible for your financial outcomes. These terms impose no fixed financial liability cap or blanket business-loss exclusion.
9. Suspension, stopping use and deletion
We may proportionately restrict access to address unlawful use, serious policy breaches, compromised credentials or material threats to others. Where safe and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow a mistake to be challenged through the support contact. Immediate action may be necessary to contain harm.
You may stop using Finooi. Signing out, clearing browser storage, hiding an account or closing a financial account does not delete your backend records. Permanent account deletion has a separately gated implementation and is unavailable unless enabled by the operator. Financial reset and complete personal-data export are not offered as active self-service features. The Privacy Policy explains retention and requests.
10. Charges
Subscriptions, payments, promo codes and subscription cancellation are not active features. These terms create no subscription or payment obligation. Any future paid service requires pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund information before you agree to pay.
11. Contact and updates
The legal operator details in section 1 remain to be confirmed. Contact support@finooi.com for questions or complaints. These terms do not select an exclusive court or remove mandatory consumer protections under applicable law.
The policy version and effective date appear above. We will explain material changes and obtain fresh agreement where required. Acceptance is recorded for the displayed version only; it is not inferred for earlier use.
